Historical Porcelain Inspires Artworks

The art exhibit of Popo San Pascual in Cebu runs from June 25 – July 25, 2015 at the famed 856 Gallery. The blue and white paintings were inspired by the delicate imperial designed China housed in the National Palace Museum in Taiwan.

The artist is already fast becoming a renowned painter. He is also a Thirteen Artist’s Awardee who finished his studies in the arts at the University of the Philippines.

In 2012, he participated in the Unicef Auction for the benefit of the children. He was honored a year after by Louis Vuitton Philippines in “A Tribute to Heroines”. He became the chosen artist of 856 Gallery to be given the artist’s immersion program in New York.

As described by 856 gallery, “Popo San Pascual has developed the practice of undulating forms that take on capricious shapes across his compositions. In this case, it is a universe of its own, a transcendetal interlude of florabotanica species and varities placed in a delicate visual structure.”
